Commercial disclosure
No outbound link on Pledge currently uses referral tracking or sponsored-link treatment. Lender and Digital Money pages point to official sources and research material; if a commercial relationship is ever added, it will be labeled directly on the affected page. This does not change our methodology, rankings, or editorial conclusions.
#1. Current Monetization Status
Today, Pledge is operating as a research-first product with no active affiliate, referral, or sponsorship relationshipswith any lender, ETF issuer, custodian, or stablecoin project we cover. There is currently nothing to disclose because there is no monetization in place. Outbound links go directly to the provider's official page with research-only UTM tags — no referral or affiliate tracking. (Pledge does log apply clicks on-site to understand how the comparison tools are used; that log is never sold or shared.) When monetization changes, the policy below kicks in.
Research surfaces are live
Loans, stablecoins, guides, compare, methodology, and disclosure are all live as research and decision-support surfaces.
Outbound links are labeled by relationship type
Provider clickouts may be referral links, official-site links, or source-document links. The relationship should be visible where the user encounters the link.
New monetization must be labeled before launch
If Pledge adds new affiliate, referral, sponsorship, or balance-based relationships, relevant compare, review, and hub pages should be labeled directly before those links are introduced.
The methodology stays separate either way
Disclosure can change when the business model changes. Methodology, ranking logic, and review conclusions should not.
Key takeaway: Pledge can be commercial without letting compensation decide rankings. The standard is direct labels, public methodology, and clear separation between revenue and judgment.
↑ Back to top2. How Revenue Works
Not every part of Pledge monetizes in the same way. Loans and Bitcoin-linked digital money products can use different commercial models, so the policy needs to stay specific instead of hiding behind one generic sitewide sentence.
Loans are the main place where referral relationships can appear today. Digital Money products may later use referral or balance-based structures. Guides, methodology, and disclosure are support surfaces and are not meant to function as direct monetization pages.
Loans
Loan relationships may use per-lead, per-click, or per-funded-loan compensation. Relevant compare and lender pages should carry direct labels.
Digital Money
Bitcoin-linked dollar and credit products may later use referral or balance-based compensation. If that happens, the relationship will be disclosed directly on the relevant Digital Money pages.
Support surfaces
Guides, methodology, disclosure, and other trust pages should explain the product and route users clearly, not hide commercial intent inside support copy.
↑ Back to top3. Editorial Independence
Our Commitment
Commercial relationships should not influence safety scores, ranking logic, or editorial conclusions. Commercial relationships can affect link labeling and tracking, not the published scoring criteria.
Every platform is evaluated on the same criteria regardless of whether a commercial relationship exists:
- Custody model (self-custody vs. third-party)
- Rehypothecation policies
- Reserve adequacy and transparency
- Regulatory compliance
- Track record and operational history
No provider can buy a better score, safer label, or preferred rank position. Similarly, research-only status should not penalize a provider under the published criteria.
↑ Back to top4. How Page-Level Labels Work
We clearly mark products and pages with commercial relationships when they exist. When a page is research-only, we should say that too. We do not hide these relationships or pretend every surface monetizes identically.
Page-level labels matter more than policy-page theory. If you ever land on a product page and cannot tell whether a commercial relationship exists, that is a disclosure failure.
↑ Back to top5. Third-Party Terms When Applicable
Where Pledge uses referral or affiliate relationships, the relevant provider terms, cookies, and tracking disclosures should be linked from the affected pages and documented here as well.
Note:Program terms and availability can change. Users should still verify the provider's current commercial terms directly.
