Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your data when comparing Bitcoin-backed loans.
Last updated: April 23, 2026
1. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information to operate Pledge effectively. We believe in data minimization — we only collect what we need to provide you with a useful service.
Usage data — Anonymous analytics about how you interact with our site, including pages visited, comparison inputs, and time on site.
Newsletter email — If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address.
Chat inputs — Questions you ask our advisor chatbot are processed to generate responses.
Comparison data — Loan details you enter in the comparison tool (collateral type, amount, jurisdiction), used solely to generate comparison results.
Outbound click data — When you click a provider or source link, we may record the clicked lender or stablecoin, source page, relationship label, session identifier, hashed IP address, and timestamp for referral accountability, abuse prevention, and product analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used exclusively to improve your experience on Pledge. Specifically, we use it to:
- Provide and improve our comparison and analysis tools
- Send newsletter updates you opted into (every Thursday — unsubscribe anytime)
- Respond to questions through our advisor chatbot
- Understand aggregate usage patterns and improve our content
3. What We Do Not Do
Our privacy commitments
- ✓We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes
- ✓We do not store financial account credentials or cryptocurrency wallet information
- ✓We do not track you across other websites
- ✓We do not use your data to train AI models or sell to data brokers
4. Affiliate Links & Third Parties
Pledge currently has no affiliate or referral links. When you follow any outbound link to a lender or provider, that platform may set its own cookies and tracking pixels. Pledge may record a server-side click event so referral status (currently: none active) and outbound-link performance can be audited; if a paid relationship is ever added, the link will be labeled inline.
Important: We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party platforms. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing any personal information.
5. Data Retention
We do not keep your data longer than necessary:
- Newsletter emails — Retained until you unsubscribe
- Anonymous usage data — Retained for up to 12 months
- Outbound click and referral events — Retained for operational reporting, fraud prevention, and referral reconciliation, then periodically rotated or trimmed
- Chat inputs — Not stored long-term
6. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
California residents: You have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
